Arthur-Shawanee Utility is currently working on implementing a automated meter reading system. The goal of this project is to provide more efficient service to each one of it’s customers. The utility hopes to have all new meters installed by late summer. Work has also just begun in District 8 of Claiborne County with 3 new water line extensions. Both of these projects are a joint effort made possible by ARPA funds, the help of Claiborne Co Govt and JMT engineering.
